How We Improved Local SEO for a Multi-Location Dental Business

Local SEO for a Multi-Location Dental Business

Table of Contents

Local SEO for Multi-Location Dental Business was the focus of this campaign. We started working with a multi-location dental business in Dhaka in January 2026. The business had several locations, but its website was not getting the level of organic and local search visibility it should have.

During our first review, we found major technical issues, slow loading times, thin content, and pages that had not been updated properly for search.

Our strategy was built around one simple idea: understand what potential patients are searching for and create or improve the right page for that search.

Within the first two to three months, we started seeing meaningful improvements. Over time, several priority keywords reached and maintained strong positions in Google organic results and the local pack. The business also started appearing in AI-generated search results for relevant dental searches.

Client & Campaign Context

The client is a multi-location dental business in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Because the business operated from several locations, we couldn’t treat the website like a single-location dental clinic. We needed Google to understand the relationship between the business, its treatments, and the areas it served.

The campaign started in January 2026, and we began seeing noticeable progress after roughly two to three months.

Our main goal was to improve visibility for searches that could bring potential patients—not just increase traffic for unrelated keywords.

The Challenge

The biggest problems were already visible during our initial audit.

The site had significant technical issues, page-speed problems, thin content, and important pages that had not been updated for a long time.

We also found that the website needed a clearer structure around its services and locations.

Local SEO for multi-location dental business, simply mentioning different areas across the website isn’t enough. Each important page needs a clear purpose so Google can understand what service it represents, which searches it should appear for, and where that service is available.

What We Found

Along with the technical problems, we saw that people were searching for the clinic in very different ways.

Someone searching for the “best dentist” was at a different stage from someone searching for emergency dental treatment or a specific procedure such as root canal treatment.

That changed how we approached the campaign.

Instead of putting every keyword onto a few pages, we mapped searches based on what the potential patient was actually looking for.

Search Intent Example Searches Our Approach
General dental searches Best dentist, best dental clinic, female dentist, top dentist Build broader authority and optimize relevant pages/content
Treatment-specific searches Root canal, dental implants, guided implant surgery, full-mouth rehabilitation, wisdom tooth surgery, teeth whitening Create and improve content around individual treatments
Local searches Dental clinic near me, best dental clinic near me Strengthen location relevance and local landing pages
Urgent searches Emergency dentist Target high-intent searches where patients need immediate help

This helped us avoid publishing content simply because a keyword had search volume.

Every important page had a specific search intent behind it.

Our SEO Strategy

Local SEO for a Multi-Location Dental Business

Understanding search intent was at the center of the campaign.

We selected important KPI keywords, mapped them to the right pages, and supported those pages with relevant blog content.

For the different business locations, we created separate location-focused pages where needed and published supporting content that naturally mentioned the areas the business served.

At the same time, we worked on the technical problems that were holding the site back.

We also kept the Google Business Profiles active through consistent posting and strengthened local authority through citations, backlinks, and directory listings.

The strategy wasn’t based on one SEO tactic.

It was about getting the fundamentals to work together:

Technical SEO + Search Intent + Service Pages + Location Pages + Content + Internal Links + Local SEO + Authority

What We Implemented

Area Work Completed
Technical SEO Technical fixes, crawl/indexing improvements and page-speed optimization
On-Page SEO Titles, meta descriptions, H1/H2 structure, content updates and image SEO
Content Content rewriting, service pages, supporting blogs, FAQs and content clusters
Multi-Location SEO Location-specific pages and localized supporting content
Site Structure Keyword mapping, internal linking and schema implementation
Google Business Profile Consistent GBP posting to support local visibility
Authority Building Local directories, citations, backlinks and PR-content recommendations

We monitored the campaign using Google Search Console and GA4.

We also stayed in contact with the client to understand whether the increased search visibility was turning into real inquiries through the website, WhatsApp, and phone calls.

Making the Content Easier for Google and AI to Understand

For this Local SEO for Multi-Location Dental Business campaign, we didn’t treat AI visibility as a separate trick. Our focus was still on getting the SEO fundamentals right.

We structured the content with clear headings, direct answers, useful tables, FAQs, and logical sections so both visitors and search systems could understand the information easily.

As the site’s overall SEO improved, we also started seeing the business appear in Google’s AI-generated results for relevant dental searches.

For us, this was another sign that clear structure, strong topical relevance, and good SEO fundamentals can support visibility beyond traditional search results.

The Results

Google Search Console showed the following performance during the six-month reporting period:

Google Search Console Metric Result
Total Clicks 4.37K
Total Impressions 232K
Average CTR 1.9%
Average Position 6.4

The campaign also produced strong rankings across different types of dental searches.

Keyword / Search Type July Ranking
Best dentist in Dhaka #1
Top 10 dentist in Dhaka #1
Best female dentist in Dhaka #2
Emergency dentist – target location #1
Full-mouth rehabilitation – target location #1
Root canal treatment – target location #2
Guided implant surgery – target location #2
Dental implant clinic – target location #2

What made us especially happy was that several of our priority keywords continued ranking strongly for months instead of moving up briefly and disappearing.

We also recorded visibility across:

Google Organic Search · Local Pack · Google AI Results

More Than Rankings

Rankings were important, but we didn’t want to judge the campaign only by keyword positions.

Throughout the project, we also asked the client whether people were actually contacting the business.

The client reported receiving inquiries through website forms, WhatsApp, and phone calls, and they were happy with the progress of the campaign.

We don’t claim an exact number of SEO-generated leads because we didn’t have complete attribution for every inquiry.

What we can confidently show is that the business gained strong visibility for searches closely related to the dental treatments it offered, while the client was also receiving inquiries from its digital channels.

What We Learned From This Campaign

This project reinforced something we believe strongly at Ranker:

Good local SEO starts with understanding search intent.

Technical fixes created a better foundation. Service and location pages helped Google understand what the business offered and where. Supporting content builds relevance around important dental topics. Internal linking connected those pages, while Google Business Profile activity, citations, and backlinks helped strengthen local authority.

The result was not just one #1 ranking.

It was stronger visibility across organic search, the local pack, and AI-generated results for searches that mattered to the business.
